Glorious mornings

Worth getting up for! The last of the flowers on the morning glory still put up an early morning show. Although they are one of the simplest of flowers when seen in a group scrambling over fences or railings they can hold their own against most climbers. If this plant was a perennial it would feature even more often than it does now.

Easily grown from seed and flowering in it's first year this annual is a very welcome summer visitor to our Spanish garden. Some of the seed for these plants came from the garden of Carol's sister Marie and her husband Alan, in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, England; they in turn received the seed from their friends.

Absolutely stunning! We have them here in Australia and they never cease to put a smile on my face. :)

  2. Hi Julia,

    I know what you mean....

I´m in Tenerife for xmas and new year. Seed collecting as we go around the island. They use the plants to great effect here too.
