The young olive trees we planted last spring before the drought and
watered all summer long; despite the long walk with the water barrow, are still alive but barely so. They were left to fend for themselves for the winter and suffered from the sporadic rainfall. I have therefore lifted them and will replant them nearer the house along with the pomegranate. Although both species are pretty tough once established they do need a bit of help at this stage.
