Planting the roses

The packaging had very clear graphics showing how to plant the roses. Once opened the Rose was revealed to be bare rooted though it had been packed in sawdust. The stems of the roses were protected by a wax coating though here and there buds were forming on the stems.

By any other name - Rose

The three roses we bought from a  local supermarket were,

Rouge Baccara, Perle Noire and Pink favourite.

Beneath the packaging the plants are bare rooted packed in a little compost just to keep them damp; although they have a few buds that look promising.
