Wild flower ways.

For just two wild flowers that grow

Contrive as we may to garden with style, nature often surpasses our best efforts. Flowers of such simplicity as the corn poppy flowering on mass, on what is the poorest of disturbed soil, provide a spectacular springtime show. Here via natures artful flourish, the blue of the borage flower punctuates the red poppy cloud. Follow that if you can…….

Gentian

This wild flower is a gentian which has germinated in the disturbed earth around the flower beds we are digging. 

Along with the red Poppies and the blue of the Borage flowers it is well worth trying to maintain. 

It seems to thrive in poor soil and that we have plenty of!

Wild flowers

The soft blue flowers of the borage plants contrast with the strong form of the stone pines.




April brings the first sign of colour to the landscape field poppies sprout from disturbed earth.
