We have been ripped off by our removal company Crystal clear removals of
Claire does not take it personally, as a limited company she has been advised that it is not a personal debt. It feels quite personal at this end!
She complained that she had worked every hour God sent to make the business work. God had us working similar hours to pay you Claire.
Maybe springtime will see better days.
So have we. Money lost and boxes stocked in our apartment. I did not even recevied a notice of the insolvency.
ReplyDeleteHello: Please confirm this to my mail: pia_nacho@yahoo.com. Claire wrote me an e-mail on the Mon, 17 Mar 2008 13:49:14 saying:
ReplyDeleteHello,

ReplyDeletePlease contact me as soon as possible at pia_nacho@yahoo.com
We are in the same situation with crystalremovals but we did not get any notiofication from them about the insolvency decision.
Hello
ReplyDeleteI too have jus found out that we have lost our money and it's pretty clear will never recover it. At least it was only a smallish deposit, but Claire had been pushing for payment in full to the moment they stopped trading. I never recieved an email and as phone were disconnected I went hunting. Here is Claire's REAL home address and phone number everyone...
C Tomlinson
Tel: (01832) 293136
Valley Cott , Luddington, Peterborough, PE8 5QX
also...
contact Peterborough Council (consumer advice). If we can't recover funds, at least we can have her name blacklisted.

I'm sorry for you guys. I had a really bad experience with this Claire Tomlison and Crystal Clear Removals too. I wish i had done something more than just trying to get our stuff back to Canada from Spain and curse on her... at least writing on a blog. At that time, I tried to find one but there was none. If you need me to go to court or whatever to help you just count on me: loooopz@sympatico.ca
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear others have been ripped off by CC. I had a demand for extra payments after my possessions had been taken by them.
ReplyDeleteThe payments I made were to her personal account, rather than to a business account. I did get most of my stuff delivered in January but there was a lot of damage and missing items. Could she be sued personally as the money went to her personal account?
Hi all
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, the Claire Tomlinson saga...
Like all of you, I had a nightmare of an adventure using the "services" of Crystal Clear Removal for my move from Paris to London.. I don't even know where to start... I should have known something was not right when she called at 9.30 pm the night before the move to try to renegotiate the price... To cut a very long story short, my furniture and personal belongings got badly damaged in the course of the removal, I made an insurance claim and Claire has been employing delaying tactics since early October 2007... I have never had any personal contacts with the insurance company and now doubt that a claim was ever made (and that an insurance company ever existed --though Claire claimed her insurer is/was Norwich Union). What is “Crystal Clear” though, is that I did pay the insurance premium to Claire Tomlinson. I have only just found out about the insolvency situation on this blog... I do not know the laws of England, but I have no doubt that the company’s insolvency does not shield Mrs Tomlinson from criminal charges.
Both my husband and myself intend to recover at the very least the amount of our insurance claim and will not drop the ball.
Please note that I have strong suspicions that C Tomlinson is now trading under a different name. If you do too, please let me know.
Best regards,
Audrey Hill (audreyh.london@gmail.com)
