Hot & Cold Chillies
The chili pepper plants have been planted and I'm hoping they taste too hot for this particular Mediterranean garden's ever increasing snail population, which seems to have a taste for the aubergine seedlings . The plants are dotted amongst the flower garden residents and I suppose that is a nod in the direction of the potager style of gardening.
Chili peppers freeze very well straight from the plant. When you want to add them to your dish take them from the freezer just a minute or so before use, at this stage you can slice them very finely and much easier than the raw state.
