The blooms of the gardenia fill the evening air with a heady perfume. It is the sort of plant that should be planted near to an entrance to benefit from it's fragrance. This plant does not tolerate wind or direct sunlight, which is a little ironic as it is now resident on my sun parched wind blown plot!
